This fragrance takes the celebrated almond and vanilla-based DNA of its predecessor and turns it on its head, enriching it with a woody, oriental, and shamelessly luxurious depth. The vibrant, spicy opening of cardamom and pink pepper introduces the iconic bitter almond almost immediately, rendered powdery, elegant, and slightly talc-like by heliotrope flower. However, it is in the dry down that the composition reveals its dark and aristocratic nature: a massive injection of guaiac wood, silky oud, and creamy sandalwood envelops the sweetness of the almond in a smoky, masculine, and resinous embrace.
