If the iconic original Layton is a charming and reassuring prince, its Exclusif version is a ruthless and indomitable sovereign. This iteration takes the celebrated apple, vanilla, and lavender DNA and literally drags it into the shadows. The fruity opening is immediately swallowed by a dense and mysterious heart where bitter almond, touches of roasted coffee, and a feral nuance of civet emerge. In the drydown, pungent Laotian oud wood and guaiac wood take control, supported by a vanilla that is much smokier and resinous than the original. It is a dense, nocturnal, and shamelessly seductive composition.
